More Atheists Attack President Bush
Recently, the atheists went ballistic about this comment that President Bush made about his belief in G-d:
So for the highest office in the land, and leader of the free world, it looks like the atheists would prefer someone who felt no accountability whasoever to any type of higher authority. Of course, liberals would reply to this saying that the President of the United States is accountable to the American people.
Hate to break it to you lefties, but public opinion is fickle. Then again, atheists will shoot back and say that logic can be substituted for religion. Nice try, but logic can be twisted to justify a multitude of sins like, for example communism and Nazism.
So then what? Would the atheists prefer that our next President think that HE is a type of deity?
No way. Our Declaration of Independence explicitly states that we are endowed by our "Creator" (with a capital "C") with "certain inalienable rights." The document never says our rights are granted to us by our government.
And remember, what a government gives, it can also take away.
And on the other hand, I don't see how you can be president - at least from my perspective, how you can be president, without a - without a relationship with the Lord," he added.
