Bring on the Prozac!

It looks like the drug companies, psychiatrists, psychopharmocologists, psychoanalysts, media outlets and advertising agencies can potentially make a nice profit off the re-election of George W. Bush.

After all, Kerry supporters last night wept openly and consoled one another in Boston's Copley Square at the prospect of a Bush win.

Since the majority of the liberal elites, unfortunately, are unlikely to make good on their threat to leave this country, these people could be a huge target market for antidepressant, anti-psychotic and anti-anxiety medications.

Think of the profits to be made by all these groups. Drug companies could run full page ads, spreads, gatefolds, French door and back cover magazine ads. On television, they could run multiple spots on CBS (and perhaps offer Dan Rather a discount). The major web properties could sell millions of ad impressions in leaderboard ads, targeted sponsorships, Eyeblasters, Shoshkeles and advertorials. A sample online ad could read as follows:

Has the thought of four more years under George W. Bush left you feeling:

Withdrawn
A loss of appetite
Unable to sleep
Unable to enjoy normal activities
Enraged
Persecuted
Constantly sad

If so, help is on the way. Click here!

The possibilities are endless.
